  • Intertexual references- taking the mick out of cheesy pop. Even more so of boy bands
  • Funny

  • There is a live feel and atmosphere which makes it look like a gig
  • Looks good for a low budget video and their first

  • Homo-erotic - usually their are women half naked trying to be attractive but here, he is the one doing so.

  • Filmed by a photographer
  • Black and white emphasises the beauty

  • Gives representations of fashion at the time especially of how the photgrapher films the video
  • Seems that Madonna has similarites to Marilyn Monroe
